11 Words That Can Transform Your Life, And Your Photography Career

11.wordsDo you know what those 11 words are, and how they apply to your photo business?

In case you don’t know them – those 11 words are: “Many people are attracted more to passion than to saving money.”

(NOTE: You may disagree with this statement at the moment, but by the time you’re finished reading this, your opinion could very well have changed – And that could result in enormous growth and profit for you in your photography business!  Your attitude toward the people in your community, and toward the value of your photography has a HUGE effect on your level of success & prosperity.)

This is why it’s so important to show your passion, your love, your enthusiasm, your belief in what you’re doing and how you’re benefiting your prospects and clients.  And, you must do this in EVERY part of your business – the marketing, the phone calls, the emails, your website – everything!

The truth of the matter is that if you’re doing what you love to do, and if you show that love and passion to your prospects and clients, and also become a marketing and selling maniac, then very quickly, you’ll be earning the kind of money you deserve to be earning with your photography business – Even in this “new economy” and during this time in history when there are so many inexpensive photographers popping up everywhere.

Don’t spend your time and efforts worrying about the cheap competition.

Instead, invest your time and efforts showing, and learning how to better show, your passion and love for what you do and how you so strongly believe that you can create something for your prospects that they will dearly treasure for the rest of their lives.

You see, there are two types of people in the world: first there are the “cold pricklies.”

These type of people don’t like anything. You’re never cheap enough, fast enough, good enough to make them happy. Don’t waste your time on these people – you’ll never make enough money to earn a great living trying to please them!

The second type of people are the “warm fuzzies.”

These people love everything – they love what you do, they love photography, they love creativity, they love their family, they’re easy to please and thrilled with what you do. These are the type of people you want to work with all day! They’re fun to be around and they really respect what you and I do.

And the key here is that these “warm fuzzies” are attracted more to passion than they are to saving money!

So stop thinking that “everybody” only cares about your prices! Warm Fuzzies care way more about how passionate you are about what you do and how warm and fuzzy your creative photography is! This is their currency. In this day and age, when there are so many photographers, who take decent images, and charge low fees, it’s more important than ever to show your passion and create more soft, sensitive, romantic images – if you want to grow and prosper in the portrait and wedding photography business.

So from this day forward, start creating more gentle, loving, sensitive, soft images for your clients – and show your passion, your love, your enthusiasm for what you’re doing – and watch your profits soar!

You are so right Charles in the point I have always worked to make my Portraiture & Wedding work be that Soft, Loving, Tender & sensuous imagery that stirs the emotions.

I guess the sad thing though is a lot of us myself included even though maintaining my style of portraiture have been a bit blind side with influx of all these so called Cheap (inexpensive photographers) that have appeared on the since.

Thanks for the wake up call.

      Hi Gary,
Yes, there certainly is a huge influx of inexpensive, beginning photogs who love photography & want to get started at bringing in some money with their photography. This is exactly why working so hard on developing your “warm fuzzy” style of emotional photography is so effective right now! Most photographers, bless our hearts, don’t realize how important it is to have a “Target Market” – specific types of people to market & appeal to. So they think that they want EVERYONE as a client. But that is a big mistake. My “target market” are the “warm fuzzy” females who want something really nice – and emotional – and these people will be attracted more by your passion & emotion for what you do, than by the cost or how inexpensive you are. Hope this helps. Thanks for your comment!
